Resident Education
Family Medicine Residents at Montefiore complete two one-month rotations in Obstetrics and a one month rotation in Family Centered Maternity Care. The FCMC month provides time for continuity deliveries along with focused experience with newborns on the Mother-Baby unit.
These rotations provide exposure to maternity care. Residents who plan to provide maternity care in their future practice are encouraged to take part in the Maternity Track, which provides more experience in both deliveries and prenatal care. Fellowships are also available. Read more below:
